Albania - Like Last Year, The First To Choose Their Act

Albania is probably best known in Eurovision for Rona Nishliu's performance of "Suus". The singer performed it in a manor that no other Eurovision contestant has ever performed; she belted out the song, screaming along the way and wore her hair as a necklace. And that all payed off - 5th place. A top 5 finish and to date, Albania's best finish yet.




RTSH, Albania's state broadcaster, confirmed their participation in the 2014 Eurovision being held in Copenhagen. As usual, they will be holding their Festivali i Kenges - this is how they select their participant. Like last year, it seems Albania will be the first to reveal their song and singer. For now, I'll tell you that the 22nd of December is when we know who is, and what song is, representing Albania. If you wish to find the other dates, research is good.

Albania are yet to win the contest, but if things go well, they may take it home in 2014. Who knows? It's anyone's game. No country has ever won twice at Denmark, each time the Danish have hosted it, there's always been a different winner.

So, can we expect hard rock like their 2013 entry or something more slow, like Rona and 2012? Who knows? It's Eurovision. Anything can happen!
