Ex-Yugoslavia Countries - Their Year To Shine?

Some years, the ex-Yugoslav countries dominate Eurovision, other years, they don't. In-fact, this year not one ex-Yugoslav country got into the final. Not even Serbia. Bosnia and Herzegovina weren't there due to financial issues (they would have qualified, more or less). Even the great duo of Bulgaria, Elitsa and Stoyan, who created a new genre of music in 2007 and came 5th and are the only Bulgarian entry to qualify for a Grand Final, didn't qualify this year, despite their song being called "Only Champions" (Samo Shampioni). Ironic, isn't it?

Already, we know F.Y.R Macedonia are looking to WIN Eurovision, as Tijana Dapcevic, a huge Balkan star, was selected to represent the country. And a few days ago, the tempo of the song and staging were hinted at:

Tijana told press that the song will be sung in Macedonian, it will be an upbeat, happy song, that the idea is for fans to feel her energy and excitement and that the title will translate somewhat into "Victory" or "Win".. for direct translation: "Pobeda".

If you know me, you know I adore Tijana, so I'm hoping she does well.

So, next up is Montenegro. In 5 days, Montenegro will reveal its performer (not its song, its performer). Speculations have been going around, but none are certain. If it were my choice... I'd get Nina Zizic to perform (vocals accompanying Who See and "Ingranka"). Her voice is pure gold..

Nonetheless, Montenegro have never qualified, so will they now?

Take a listen to Who See, ft. Nina - Igranka:

So... do you think Scandinavia will struggle this year and that Ex-Yugoslavia countries and the Balkans will dominate? Or vice versa?
