Italy - On The Way For A Win?

If you read my "Evaluation - Who Should Win (Big 5 Edition)?", then you'll know I'm supporting Italy all the way. And if you do your homework, you'd know that out of all the Big 5, Italy has done the best in recent years.



Upon their return, Raphael, who won Sanremo and came from the "newcomer" category came 2nd, an unexpected, surprise result. But hey. When you return to the contest with a catchy piece of unique music, you're gonna do well. Then the next year, 2012, they came 9th with L'amore E Femmina, an upbeat song. And then this year, 2013, in Malmo, they sent Italy's biggest hit of the year; Marco Mengoni, placing 7th respectively. This averages a SIXTH place over 3 years (only being beaten by Azerbaijan, but hey, Italy doesn't buy votes). 

So, with all these good placings, and as we say with Azerbaian, surely Italy must be heading for a win?

Well, Europe, you decide! Will you help Italy achieve its dream; winning Eurovision for a third time?
