Bosnia and Herzegovina have a rich history at Eurovision. Of all the years they have entered, they have never missed a final. And they've even placed in the Top 10 6 times! That's 1/3 of their entries doing well!Well, unfortunately, it seems Bosnia and Herzegovina are ditching Eurovision and participating in Turkey's new "Turkvision". Of course Turkey said that they did not want to it challenge or compete with Eurovision but it seems it is.
According to BHRT, Bosnia's state broadcaster, because Turkvision is "cheaper" to participate in, it is almost certain that they will send a song to that. Earlier in the year, BHRT stated that they were keen and eager on a comeback after a year's break. But it's turning out to be a tough call. The Former Yugoslavia country seem to be taking more of an interest in Turkvision.
Many people think Turkvision will end up being "nul pointe" type Eurovision songs and its quality will be poor. Nonetheless, I wish TRT the best with Turkvision.
Anyway, as I was saying... BHRT stated last December 'if we're able to find the funding, it's possible for a comeback'. But it seems they have not.
Fingers crossed they do return, however. I love Bosnia's entries. I don't know about you, but if they do return, I will be ecstatic!
